In consortium with Vestas, we completed the Lal Lal Wind Farm on around 2,100 hectares in Elaine and Yendon within the Moorabool Shire.

With 60 turbines, the total generating capacity of Lal Lal Wind Farm will be approximately 228MW, which is enough to power 95,000 homes per year, saving 780,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.

The Yendon site has 38 wind turbines connected to its own on-site substation and the 22 wind turbines on the Elaine site are connected to the network at the SP AusNet Elaine Terminal station.

Lal Lal Wind Farm Construction

The civil scope included 28km of access track construction, crane hardstands and the Wind Turbine foundations. Zenviron engaged local sub-contractors and businesses to support the build, which was of great benefit to the local economy and broader community.

Zenviron and Vestas look forward to bringing another large-scale wind farm to Australia soon; watch this space!
