Zenviron has been awarded a contract with CS Energy, a Queensland State Government owned body and leader in providing customised energy solutions for large businesses, for the delivery of the Lotus Creek Wind Farm in Central Queensland.

The 285 MW capacity wind farm, located 20 kilometres west of St Lawrence in Central Queensland, will produce enough clean energy annually to power 150,000 homes and reduce carbon emissions by approximately 900,000 tonnes.

In partnership with Vestas, Zenviron will deliver the balance-of-plant civil and electrical works along with the workers’ accommodation facility, and Vestas will supply and install 46 wind turbines with a long-term service and maintenance agreement.

Speaking on the contract award, Zenviron CEO, Carl Keating, said “Zenviron is delighted to be working together with Vestas and CS Energy to grow Australia’s renewable energy capacity. The award of this project demonstrates Zenviron’s leadership in the renewable energy market and expertise in delivering balance-of-plant works.”

Zenviron General Manager, Beth Rigby said this award is the result of a strong partnership and months of collaboration with Vestas.

Works will commence immediately, with completion expected by the end of 2027.

The wind farm will create up to 400 jobs during the construction period and provide financial support to the local community through a community benefits program.

Vestas and Zenviron have worked with Barada Bana and Barada Kabalbara Yetimarala, Traditional Owner groups of the project area on arrangements that will boost local employment opportunities for Indigenous community members.
