Crudine Ridge Wind Farm is located 45km south of Mudgee. The project balance of plant was completed by Zenviron in February of 2021, with final commissioning and connection to the grid completed in February 2022. Zenviron carried out the works in Consortium with GE International and were tasked with not only the Balance of Plant works, but also the wind turbine component transport from the port of Newcastle to site, as well as the turbine erection scope that included the electrical and mechanical completion of the turbines, ready for commissioning by GE.

This project achieved an impeccable safety record whilst this high-risk work was carried at the hub height of 91m. Our partner subcontractors were supported by Zenviron management to provide best for project outcomes in difficult terrain. The project is connected via a TransGrid Substation on site with the power collector circuits made up of 32km of Medium Voltage underground cabling and 11km of 33kV Medium Voltage overhead powerline. The project included a major upgrade of Aaron’s Pass road for over size and over mass deliveries, with Mid-Western Regional council going on to seal the road at the completion of the project providing a top class asset to the community. The project has 36km of internal access track constructed by Zenviron along with the crane hardstands and wind turbine foundations. The project staff and workforce where predominately based in Mudgee providing great financial benefit to the town and its local businesses.
